Editor’s note: this story has been updated to reflect the investment of a further $10 million by Top Tier Capital Partners, bringing the total round to $40 million.
On behalf of our entire team, I’m proud to announce that Lever has secured $40 million in Series C funding. As reported in Forbes , Adams Street Partners is the lead investor in this latest round, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Mike Zappert to our board of directors.
This announcement caps 18 months of strong, sustained momentum in our business, including the successful launches of Lever Nurture and Lever Talent Intelligence, the second and third products in our Talent Acquisition Suite; the growth of our client base to over 1,300 customers globally; and our continued focus on building an organization with diversity and inclusion at its core, resulting in 50:50 gender balance on our team and a 40 percent non-white workforce.
Raising money is never the end goal, rather a means towards our ultimate objective: helping our customers proactively recruit, attract, and hire the best candidates. To that end, we are grateful for the opportunity to use this capital for ongoing innovation and R&D, with a particular eye toward highly complex, global organizations. Simply put, we believe hiring should be seamless, scalable, and strategic for companies of all sizes – but today, the technology used by many larger organizations serves to add complexity, not cut through it, and often puts them in reactive mode when they should be proactive. Based on our team’s daily conversations with the global talent community, companies with thousands of employees have never needed our help more than they do right now.
We’re inspired by that challenge, and fueled by the belief that every stakeholder in the hiring process – from candidate through sourcer and recruiting coordinator to hiring manager – deserves tools worthy of the task at hand. Tools that start with design and usability, tools that can bring the power of the entire company to bear, and tools that allow talent leaders and their teams to to stay ahead of ever-evolving demands of the market.
From all of us here at Lever, we want to say a big *thank you* to our community, which includes our partners, our supporters, and above all the customers who have helped make all of this possible. From Lever’s earliest days, true partnership and collaboration with our customers has played a pivotal role in our success. Design thinking continues to underpin our approach to innovation, and we recognize that the thousands of hours we’ve spent on R&D to this point also represent countless hours invested on your part, delving deep into your recruiting pain points and challenges. We’re at once hugely humbled and motivated by our shared belief that together, we can seize and crack the opportunity to make hiring fundamentally better for all.
So once again, thank you for being part of the Lever community. As is customary at Lever, we’ve captured the joy of this moment in GIF format. We can’t wait to write our next chapter together with all of you.
